About Jamie

Jamie Blackburn, MA, E-RYT, has worn many hats in her life: oyster shucker, science teacher, outdoor educator, English teacher in Cambodia, school counselor, telemarketer (sorry about that one!) and ice cream scooper. But the job she loves most is what she does now... helping people find more JOY in their life and feel less stressed and anxious. She started the Inner MAP Project in 2018 after she noticed how mindfulness, physical activity, and self-reflection practices were helping her students cope with anxiety and depression. She realized that this was her passion, and wanted to make these practices more accessible to more people. The Inner MAP Project is her creative outlet for helping others be the best version of themselves, one breath at a time.

Jamie has a Master's degree in School Counseling, a Master's degree in Secondary Education and is 500-RYT certified with Yoga Alliance. She has been teaching yoga since 2006. Jamie currently leads public yoga classes at Yoga Pod Denver West and North Denver CorePower Yoga. She worked as a science teacher and counselor for Jeffco Public Schools from 2005-2019.
